Simon Lawson is a local chap, and we thought it was right to celebrate his success as tonight some other sporting heroes have been celebrated at the BBC Sports Personality awards, which was hosted in Birmingham earlier this evening.
Simon Lawson back in September, took 3rd Place in the Great North Elite Men’s Wheelchair race, he put in an enormous amount of effort and definitely deserves the praise. He should be extremely proud and so are all of us, back home in Cumbria.
