A well known local hotel is to close.
The Grove Court Hotel will close its doors this today after serving the community for many years.
A hotel spokesperson said “Due to circumstances beyond our control the hotel will be closing from today.”
“If anyone needs Christmas Day deposits or in date vouchers refunded please ensure you call into the hotel between 2pm-6pm before Friday”.
“May we take this opportunity to thank everyone for there support and custom, and may we apologise for any inconvenience closed”.
They added that their Facebook page will not be in operation from Friday.
The popular hotel has not served food since July when a kitchen fire devastated the hotel.
A statement issued in a July read “As some of you may already be aware we have had a fire tonight that has destroyed our kitchen. Therefore we will be unable to do food for the foreseeable future, our phone lines are also down at the moment.”
“All the staff and customers are safe and well. And a public thank you to all the staff at the Grove and in particular the Parkside Hotel who have really helped us.”
