It is fair to say the festive spirit in Whitehaven yesterday was magical!
With an Ed Sheeran tribute artist taking to the stage to finish the evening, throughout the day local theatre and music groups graced the CFM stage. Hosted by Andy Gregory it was truly a special day all round!
Hundreds turned out for the towns annual switch on, which was again supported by the town council. Many local vendors and groups got together and there was many stalls and activities for the whole family throughout the day.
Many young kids had their day made by meeting Santa and Mrs Claus at their grotto.
The festivities spread as far as the Civic Hall where attendees were treated too many wonderful stalls selling lots of festive goodies.
Charley Maudling, one of the organisers commented 'We just seem to get bigger and better every year. I know we can rely on the good people of Whitehaven and the surrounding areas to come down and enjoy it.”
Charley concluded with a thanks again to the Town Council.
